Bruce Jenner Gives Scott Disick Fathering Advice

If there’s one person well-equipped enough to give Scott Disick advice on parenting, it would be Bruce Jenner.

Kim and family show support for Bruce Jenner.

The former Olympian opened up during his interview with Diane Sawyer last week and fully admitted that his continuous internal struggle led to his absence from his four older children’s lives.

“The big, formative years for them, I was really struggling with those issues [of gender identity],”he admitted to Sawyer of Burt, Casey, Brandon and Brody. “I didn’t do a good job. And I apologized for that.”

The latest episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians show Disick also struggling with his own inner battles, which involve alcohol and substance abuse, and often just vanishing from the house for periods of time.

“I definitely go in and out of happy and dark places in my life,” Disick confesses. “I wish that I could be a little more consistent, and I wish it was a little bit easier for me to be under control, but it’s not, and it’s something I’ve always wanted to change. It’s just not as simple as people think.”

Though not the same, Bruce can still relate to Kourtney’s long-time boyfriend when it comes to dealing with those internal battles and trying to raise a family.

“It’s important that their dad’s around,” Bruce tells Scott, seemingly reflecting on his own history.
