The show must go on.

Despite recently taking a tumble during a routine performance at her Las Vegas residency, Britney Spears is insisting to get back onstage again. Appearing on Ellen with an ankle brace strapped to her left leg, the 33-year-old recalls what happened during the nasty spill that forced her to cancel two of her concerts.

Well, I actually wasn’t doing anything that hard,” the singer says. “I was just kind of bopping around. And I’ve done like eight years worth of shows. Plenty of shows! And I’ve never actually fell onstage, so it was really kind of embarrassing. But yeah, I fell down and I got up, and my dancers kind of guided me to keep going.”

“I tore some ligaments,” Spears adds, explaining that she’s been barred from performing on doctor’s orders for a little while.

Though she may be on a break to recover her injured ankle, don’t be expecting Spears to be ending her show any time soon. In the same interview, the songstress also adds she has decided to extend her Britney: Piece of Me residency at Planet Hollywood for three more months.

Let’s just hope she won’t fall again!
