‘Mean Girls’ Spin-Off ‘Mean Moms’ Is a Thing That’s Happening And Jennifer Aniston Might Be In It
Though we’re not getting a Mean Girls reunion sequel any time soon, we’re getting the next best thing: a spin-off called Mean Moms.
Deadline is reporting that Horrible Bosses 2 director Sean Anders is set to direct the new flick, which matches the spirit of Mean Girls in that it centers on the story of a happily married mother who moves from small-town America to the high-class suburbs and suddenly must confront the cutthroat world of competitive parenting.
So who is set to play the main character? While rumor has it Jennifer Aniston is in talks to star in the film, it’s unclear whether she’ll play the new mom or more of a queen bee like Rachel McAdams as Regina George in Mean Girls.
The 46-year-old actress has worked with Anders in Horrible Bosses 2, so the chances of her taking part are likely. However, as the fake poster suggests, there is no word on Sandra Bullock and Cameron Diaz.
Still without a release date, Mean Moms is an adaptation of the book Queen Bee Moms & Kingpin Dads, which was written by Mean Girls author Rosalind Wiseman.
