Rihanna’s Amazing Met Gala Gown Took Two Whole Years to Make

Rihanna revealed a little bit of the amazing history behind the stunning yellow gown she wore at Monday night’s Met Gala, and we’re in even more awe than we were before.

The Queen of the night spoke with Vogue’s André Leon Talley on the Met Gala red carpet about her one of a kind dress by designer Guo Pei. Riri revealed “It was a miracle how it happened actually. I saw this beautiful beast on the Internet. I was looking through, you know, researching Chinese couture.”

She added, “It’s handmade by one Chinese woman. It took two years to make this.”

The “Bitch Better Have My Money” singer undoubtedly slayed at the annual Met Gala, which this year was in celebration of the museum’s “China: Through the Looking Glass” exhibition.

As the Editor-in-Chief of Lucky magazine Eva Chen wisely noted,

All the silly meme’s her dress inspired aside, the Queen’s Guo Pei gown will be remembered for years to come. Rihanna is, to put it simply, just perfect.

Check out said memes here though, for the a good laugh.
