Adam Levine Got Bombed with Powdered Sugar While Signing Autographs
Adam Levine got a lot more than he asks for in his Maroon 5 song “Sugar” last night (May 6, 2015); you know, the song in which he sings, “…Need a little sweetness in my life. Your sugar, yes, please, won’t you come and put it down on me?”
A Levine-hater bombed him with powdered sugar while he and his bandmates were signing autographs for fans outside of the Jimmy Kimmel Live studios.
Levine was just minding his own business as he greeted fans, when all of a sudden he was bombed with powdered sugar right in the face (as can be seen in the video below).
The assailant was immediately apprehended and taken into custody on suspicion of battery.
Fans waiting to meet him were incredibly angry, to say the least. The Voice judge himself was reportedly quite taken aback and none too pleased either (he looks quite pissed off, in fact).
People reports that one bystander told the network, “It looked like he wanted to fight the guy. I think this guy had it planned. It was a brown bag with tape around it, which was weird…I just saw powder everywhere. It was just so quick.”
Guess the next time Levine sings “Sugar,” his tone will be more bitter than sweet.
