Find out who's in the 'Jem and the Holograms' live-action movie.

Prepare for some 80s nostalgia.

The trailer for the Jem and the Holograms live action movie has been released. Starring Aubrey PeeplesStefanie ScottAurora Perrineau, and Hayley Kiyoko as the titular band, the film follows the same premise as the beloved cartoon as lead singer Jerrica Benton, as her alter-ego Jem, front the incredibly popular band called The Holograms.

However, fans of the TV show’s campiness may be disappointed with this remake as the series’ fantastical plots have been toned down and traded in for a more realistic story about a girl in the music industry that may not even involve actual holograms. So far, reactions to the trailer have not been so pretty.

Directed by John M. Chu, the man behind Justin Bieber’s 2011 documentary Never Say Never, the film opens Oct. 23.
