WATCH: One Direction Gives First Zayn-Less TV Interview on ‘Late Late Show’

To further puncture our pop music infused wound, One Direction gave their first TV interview without departed member Zayn Malik last night. Just have tissues on hand, OK?

Sitting down with James Corden on the Late Late Show, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan tried their best to look good and maintain composure when asked about the elephant in the room.

Said Tomlinson, “There’s a bit back and forth. We’re on good terms with him,” despite that Twitter feud.

Added Payne, “At first we were a little bit angry, we were surprised. I think we all knew the general vibe that Zayn was feeling.”

Horan also chimed in on Life After Zayn: “We’re looking forward to bringing out a new record, going on more tours and stuff and we’re really enjoying it.”

Styles, meanwhile, was quick to shoot down any hopes Corden had for joining the group. (The long-haired singer just gave a simple “No.”)

The dudes also played an epic game of Dodgeball with Corden. Watch the too-long-for-TV sketch, below.
