It’s Official: ‘The Mindy Project’ Is Moving to Hulu

'The Mindy Project' Cancelled: Here's Social Media's Reaction To It
After three seasons, FOX pulls the plug on fan-favorite 'The Mindy Project'.

The Mindy Project will live to see another season.

Our TV prayers have been answered because Hulu has ordered Season 4 of former FOX show. The streaming service confirmed Friday (May 15, 2015) that they will air 26 new episodes of the comedy and have the option to order additional seasons.

Hulu began talks with Universal Television about acquiring The Mindy Project soon after it was cancelled because they believed the comedy was a natural fit for them.

Craig Erwich, Senior Vice President and head of content for Hulu, said in a statement:

Mindy has been a beloved member of the Hulu family, so this deal is a natural extension of our relationship. With so many of her fans already catching up and tuning in to the series on Hulu, we know her millions of fans will be eager to find out what Mindy has in store for the next chapter.

Not only will we be able to find out what happens when Danny Castellano meets Mindy’s parents in India, but we’ll get to meet their kid.

“I am thrilled The Mindy Project has found a new home on Hulu, where so many of our fans are already watching the show. It’s such an exciting place to be,” Mindy Kaling said in a statement after the news was announced.

So are we Mindy, so are we.
