Rihanna Performs ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’ and ‘American Oxygen’ on SNL

The 40th season finale of SNL was last night, celebrated with third-time host Louis CK and brilliant performances by fifth-time musical guest Rihanna.

Riri performed “Bitch Better Have My Money” (in the video above) and “American Oxygen” (below), both of which are off of her highly anticipated album R8.

Rihanna first performed “BBHMM” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, and notably on Jimmy Kimmel (in the dead of night, in his bedroom) as part of an epic April Fool’s prank.

“American Oxygen” was first teased in a March Madness trailer, then performed live at the March Madness Music Festival in April. The music video for the song was exclusively released on Tidal a couple days later, and features footage of historic moments in history (like the moon landing and President Barack Obama’s inauguration).

Louis CK wrapped up the 40th season with a rather awkward but charming opening monologue, in which he detailed what it was like growing up in the ’70s (ahem, “mild racism”).
