WATCH: Controversial Documentary About Amy Winehouse Debuts New Trailer

Just days after the controversial documentary about Amy Winehouse just premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, a new trailer has been released (you know, for the ones not lucky enough to make it to France).

Winehouse Family Slams 'Amy'
Amy Winehouse’s family has spoken out against "Amy."

The documentary, appropriately titled Amy, follows the singer’s rise to fame using old footage, home videos and interviews, giving the audience insight into Winehouse’s life behind closed doors.

The just-released teaser also lets people into her troubled relationship with ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil. Winehouse is caught on camera saying, “I fell in love with someone who I would have died for… And htat’s like a real drug, isn’t it?”

However, while the documentary is receiving some positive feedback in the industry, Winehouse’s family still refuses to associate with it, feeling that it does not give a balanced portrayal of the singer and does a disservice to those suffering with addiction problems.

They released a statement, saying: “The Winehouse family would like to disassociate themselves from the forthcoming film about their much missed and beloved Amy.”
