The rapper, who recently released his album At.Long.Last.A$AP ahead of schedule, took to BBC Radio 1 on Wednesday to explain his much talked-about diss track about the “Never Let You Down” singer. In the song, Rocky, who was rumored to be romantically involved with the songstress in 2012, called Ora a “bitch” with a big mouth.
“I just want to clarify, this isn’t me saying, ‘People don’t go listen to Rita Ora’ or ‘She’s an ugly person’ or nothing,” he explained without going into detail about the true nature of his relationship with Ora. “I’m not saying she’s a terrible person, I’m just saying that when I was in a relationship and I did things with her that I wasn’t supposed to do. She had a big mouth.”
“Honestly, the song is really old. That song had been around the time that the situation I was referring to in the song happened,” Rocky continued, adding that it was “such a good song” that he had to include it in his new record. “It would’ve been tasteful if I just muted that part, you know, but it is what it is.”
In the song, Rocky rapped, “I swear that bitch Rita Ora got a big mouth / Next time I see her might curse the bitch out / Kicked the bitch out once ’cause she bitched out / Spit my kids out, jizzed up all in her mouth and made the bitch bounce.”
He also made a reference to Katy Perry on the same track, saying, “I kissed the dyke chick and I liked it / Fucking each and every Katy Perry for the night bitch.”
