Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato Are Starting a Record Label
… A music label, that is.
Jonas and Lovato are collaborating with their manager Phil McIntyre to create Safehouse Records, an artist-centric label in partnership with Island Records. The Safehouse team disclosed in an interview with Billboard that they seek to create a “small label that’s highly focused and very artist-driven”.
Our focus at Safehouse Records is to put artists in control of their art while providing them the best tools to manage their careers. Through our partnership with Island Records they will also have access to the best marketing and promotion available.
The first project to be produced by their record label will be Lovato’s fifth studio album that will arrive as a combined effort between Safehouse, Island, and her current label, Hollywood Records. Future endeavors will include new talent signings.
Lovato beamed with excitement in envisioning her creative future with Jonas:
I’ve worked closely with both Nick and Phil for years and we share the same point of view when it comes to making music. It’s incredibly exciting to be part of this new company where I’m in control of all aspects of my career. I can’t wait to share what we’re working on!
