Taylor Swift Knows She’s Not ‘Overtly Sexy’ and Has ‘Accepted It,’ Gets Visits from Her BFF’s in NYC
Taylor Swift knows she’s a lot of things (successful, talented, friendly…), but being sexy is not one of them.
And while she’s okay with that, she’ll be quick to clarify what it means if you call her “chaste.”
On often being perceived as “chaste,” Swift admitted to Access Hollywood, “No, that’s a way of people saying I’m just not generally a sexy person. That’s all that is.”
The 25-year-old, who was incidentally named #1 on Maxim magazine’s Top 100 list, explained further, “It’s fine. I’ve accepted it. I’m a lot of things. Overtly sexy is not one of them. I’m fine. I’m fine with all the other things I am.”
Swift has been making headlines both for her very public (and new) relationship with DJ Calvin Harris, and her record-breaking video for “Bad Blood” (featuring Kendrick Lamar), which also shot to the #1 Billboard spot yesterday.
As for being a role model, Swift doesn’t mind. She commented,
As an artist you should embrace what comes naturally to you, whatever role feels right. I would never encourage an artist to try to and fit in to a role that seemed to be created for them by a bunch of record label guys in suits in a conference room. I think for me it feels very natural to talk to teenagers and people my age… about feelings and what they’re going through and their insecurities.
Three of her girlfriends who starred in her kickass, girl power video, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, and Lena Dunham, were also spotted stopping by the 25-year-old’s Tribeca, NYC apartment yesterday (May 28, 2015).

And yes, that’s a lot of #1’s for one person… Congratulations Taylor Swift!
