Enrique Iglesias Had a Bloody Mid-Concert Drone-Grabbing Incident in Mexico

Drones, man.

As it turns out, they’re really dangerous if you try to grab one in midair, as Enrique Iglesias learned the hard way last night during a concert in Tijuana, Mexico.

The singer had attempted to grab the drone when something went wrong, leaving his hand sliced open and bleeding profusely. After the accident, Iglesias was “semi-treated” on the side of the stage in order to contain the bleeding.

Although he was advised to stop the show short, Iglesias performed on like an amazing professional, his white shirt all bloodied up and all.

His rep said in a statement to The AP,

During the show a drone is used to get crowd shots and some nights Enrique grabs the drone to give the audience a Point of View shot. Something went wrong and he had an accident. He decided to go on and continued playing for 30 minutes while the bleeding continued throughout the show.

He was rushed to the airport where an ambulance met him there. He was then put on a plane to L.A. to see a specialist.

Fans posted pics on social media, and yikes! That’s a lot of blood.

Iglesias is currently on his Sex and Love World Tour. His next show is in July in Mexico City.

We’re happy to hear Iglesias is recovering.
