Lauren Conrad is known for promoting a healthy lifestyle, maintaining a svelte figure herself, but she’s about to change the way people think of “fit” in order to take a stance against body shaming.

The 29-year-old designer is banning any body-shaming terms on her website, including “skinny,” “thin,” and “slim.”

“Starting this month, we’ll be banning any body shaming terms from the site, and replacing them with words like ‘fit,’ ‘toned,’ and ‘healthy,'” she declared in a blog post on Monday. “We try to do this for the most part anyway, but now we’re making it official! The word skinny will now be reserved for skinny jeans.”

Even with LC’s annual Bikini Boot Camp series kicking off on the site, she hopes to focus her readers and fans on getting fit rather than watching the number on the scale.

“Every body is created differently—and healthy bodies come in all shapes and sizes,” she writes.

We’re loving her new outlook!
