WATCH: Tracy Morgan Gives First Television Appearance Since Fatal Walmart Truck Collision

Kids of Tracy Morgan Friend Getting $10M From Walmart
James McNair's children are getting a $10 million settlement from Walmart.

Tracy Morgan spoke out for the first time on the Today show since his devastating collision with a Walmart tractor trailer last June.

The 30 Rock comedian and his attorney joined Matt Lauer to recount his feeble memory of the six-car pileup that killed his dear friend and fellow comedian, James McNair.

Morgan learned of McNair’s passing two weeks after the incident when he came out of a coma and confesses to “losing it” after finding a video of his friend’s funeral on YouTube while at home in recovery.

“I still have my good days and my bad days when I forget things,” commented Morgan on his slow recovery of the body and spirit.

“Bones heal, but the loss of my friend will never heal.”

When questioned about his hopeful return to comedy, Morgan replied as an optimist and a realist.

“I love comedy, I’ll never stop loving her, I can’t wait to get back to her but right now my goal is to heal. I’m not one hundred percent yet, and when I’m there you’ll know it.”

We’re all looking forward to it, Tracy.
