And Now, 40 ‘Gilmore Girls’ GIFs (Because You Deserve It)
Best news ever: there’s an incredibly exciting Gilmore Girls reunion happening tomorrow at the 2015 ATX Television Festival in Texas, and all of our beloved cast members are going to be there!
The panel is set to include Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson, Milo Ventimiglia, Jared Padalecki, Liza Weil, Keiko Agena, Danny Strong, Matt Czuchry, Jackson Douglas, Todd Lowe, Liz Torres, Yanic Truesdale and John Cabrera, as well as writers and executive producers Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino.
All in one room. Tomorrow. So, is there a Gilmore Girls movie reunion on the horizon…or something?!?!
Before we lose our minds, take tonight off, binge watch as much Gilmore Girls as you can on Netflix, and celebrate with some* of the best GIFs from the show. So let’s travel back to Stars Hollow, relive Lorelai and Rory Gilmore’s amazing mother-daughter/best friend moments, fall in love (again) with Jess Mariano, relish in Emily Gilmore’s shade but ultimate love for Lorelai, and so much more…
*While the aforementioned word “some” may actually seem like a hypocritical description given the proceeding volume of GIFs shown here, we stand by these being only “some” of the best GIFs from Gilmore Girls. There have been seven seasons (between 2000-2007) and 153 episodes, each of which are 44 minutes long. That’s 6,732 minutes, or 112.2 hours, or 4.675 days. In other words, there is simply and truly an endless amount of flawless jokes, brilliant writing, humorous chatter, standout acting, and so much love for all things Gilmore. No number of GIFs (or video clips, for that matter) can take the place of sitting down with your mom and a cup of coffee to watch Gilmore Girls all day and all night long together.
Lorelai and Rory’s relationship is the best. Period.
They just get it, you know?
Like mother, like daughter, their thirst for coffee is too real.
Like mother, like daughter, even during graduation.
Lorelai’s life advice will never get old.
Can’t help but have only love for Emily, whose wit started it all.
So much shade, and yet so, so funny.
She’s even known to leave Lorelai speechless, at times.
That time she barged in on Lorelai’s solo dance session in her car to Andy Gibb’s “Shadow Dancing”? Classic. (“I was looking for my lipgloss,” is really the best excuse you can give in that situation).
And then, of course, there was this incredibly sweet moment when Lorelai graduated (even though Rory didn’t make it). And RIP Richard.
And now for the boyfriends. Jess will forever be the only one who mattered.
Seriously? Too cute.
Oh, young love.
Jess just cared, you know?
Luke and him even had a cute love-hate relationship.
Then there was that time he came back to Stars Hollow…
And then he left…
But they eventually see one another again. Even though Logan is in the picture.
Speaking of Logan, there was something kind of fun about their relationship.
Was he better than Dean, or nah?
As for Lorelai, she made out well in the end with Luke.
They made a nice couple. Here’s to hoping they’re together and they had babies in what we hope to be a reunion movie.
And then there’s Lane.
And Lorelai’s BFF, Sookie.
And Rory’s frenemy but BFF at heart, Paris.
She had her moments, but she often dropped important truth bombs.
The fact that Rory could tolerate her all through high school and at Yale means a lot.
There is something so precious about Rory, anyways.
Here’s to Yale!
And mother daughter friendships.
Here’s to hoping for some kind of exciting announcement at tomorrow’s ATX Television Festival!
