That Time Beyoncé Announced Something We Already Knew

Beyoncé should know better than to mess with her own BeyHive.

Early Monday morning (June 8), Queen Bey gave her devoted fans a good reason to wake up and watch Good Morning America (or at least go on social media for updates) after teasing a big announcement over the weekend.

Well, Monday morning came and went and all that’s left is a nation of disappointed and confused BeyHive members. Our great leader didn’t announce a new album, tour, future Blue Ivy sibling, or the future of Tidal. Instead, Beyoncé merely gave an “exclusive” on the vegan diet she’s been raving about since forever: Marco Borges’ The 22-Day Revolution.

If you don’t have time to watch the full video, here’s a sampling of her testimonial:

“I am not naturally the thinnest woman. I have curves. I’m proud of my curves.”

“I felt like my skin was really firm.”

“The weight stayed off.”

Yes, it’s her first on-camera interview in a really, really long time. Yes, Queen Bey looks amazing even though she’s standing on some random rooftop and the light isn’t perfect. But dear Queen, have you forgotten what happens when you announce that you’re going to have an announcement? Have you forgotten about the power of the BeyHive?

Naturally, some fans took their disappointment to Twitter:

As Defamer points out, some fans have been flooding Beyoncé’s Instagram with non-vegan food emojis because this is how adults express their feelings these days:

And that’s not all: GMA has promised a second installment of Bey on the small screen. On Tuesday, the Queen will open up about her Bey Good charity work in Haiti.

In other Beyonce news, the superstar shared some new photos of little Blue over the weekend. Warning: there’s a pretty serious dose of cuteness in the pics:
