‘The Program’ Trailer: Ben Foster Sure Looks and Rides Like Lance Armstrong

Lance on Oprah
Remember this 2013 sit-down? Oh, Lance.

Here is your first look at Ben Foster (literally) putting on his best Lance Armstrong face in the new biopic, The Program.

Directed by Stephen Frears (The Queen, Philomena), the movie is based on David Walsh’s 2013 award-winning book Seven Deadly Sins: My Pursuit of Lance Armstrong. Chris O’Dowd (Girls, Bridesmaids) plays Walsh, the sports journalist who contributed to uncovering that terrible, horrible no good, very bad secret about Armstrong’s doping ring. (Click here for a refresher).

Between Foster’s Armstrong nose, Jesse Plemons’ intense stares (he plays Floyd Landis), and Dustin Hoffman’s line about “cheating on us as well,” The Program is gearing up to be one of the strong early contenders for the best time of the year: awards season.

The Program has yet to receive a US release date but is slated to open in France on Sept. 23.
