Jennifer Lawrence Could Earn $8 Million for ‘Passengers’ Movie Than Co-Star Chris Pratt
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pair are teaming up for Passengers, a big-budget romantic sci-fi drama that’s due to start shooting in September.
The magazine claims the studio has agreed to pay Lawrence her asking price of $20 million, plus 30 percent of the profit after the movie breaks even. While Pratt will get $12 million (up from $10 million) in the wake of Jurassic World’s all-time record-breaking $511 million global opening at the weekend.
The movie stars Pratt as a passenger on a 90-year space voyage to another planet who wakes up ahead of schedule and realizes that he is doomed to die alone. Lawrence is the unlucky lady whom he eventually decides to wake up so that he can have companionship.
