7 Times Matt Bomer Blessed Us With Song

If you popped your Matt Bomer musical cherry this week with his smooth rendition of “Heaven,” much to learn you still have, my young padawan.

Before singing on Magic Mike XXL, the 37-year-old actor showed off his pipes on everything from White Collar to a Kennedy Center Honors event with Broadway great Kelli O’Hara.

Perhaps “showed off” is too strong — as Bomer fans know, the guy is super shy when it comes to singing. And that’s probably why his singing makes us melt even faster.

Treat your ears (and eyes) to these other great Matt Bomer musical moments:

1) White Collar behind-the-scenes on some balcony (Note: the end bit, when he gets caught, is a bit NSFW):

2) Bomer and Diahann Carroll covered “One For My Baby” on Season 2 of White Collar. This is also BTS:

3) Kennedy Center Honors 2010, singing “It Only Takes a Moment” from Hello, Dolly with Kelli O’Hara.

4) Glee: “Somebody That I Used to Know” with Darren Criss.

5) Also from Glee: “Hungry Like the Wolf.”

6) During an interview with GQ Italia, Bomer broke out in song at some diner.

7) In 2011, Bomer sat in for Kathy Lee Gifford and did the fourth block of The Today Show with Hoda Kotb. Even though it’s more dance than song, we are grateful to Bomer for making “Friday” tolerable.

Magic Mike XXL opens July 1.
