Amy Schumer Slams ‘The Bachelorette’ Kaitlyn Bristowe Critics in Less Than 140 Characters
Nick Viall, a returning contestant to the reality show, nabbed the first one-on-one date in Ireland with the Bachelorette. Viall charmed Bristowe through a romantic stroll in the park despite a run-in with pigeons, her most-feared fowl. The couple finished their date over a candlelit dinner where Bristowe offered her main man both a rose and an invitation back to her hotel room. Viall accepted the invitation and discovered her “pot of gold” according to the suggestive sounds that emerged from her slightly ajar boudoir.

Regrets rose with the sun the following morning when Bristowe expressed pangs of guilt. She confessed,
“I don’t necessarily feel guilty about the act. It’s more just guilt from caring about other relationships that I have.”
Viall returned to the other contestants with no trace of regret, hinting at what had occurred during their sleep-over. Contestant Shawn stewed over his Viall’s leg up on the competition, finally exploding at Bristowe’s “bullsh*t” decision, exclaiming, “She’s ruining everything we have.”
Bristowe ultimately defined her decision as a “mistake”, ruminating in a tearful confessional, “I shouldn’t have done it.”
The Bachelorette appeared on Good Morning America to address her critics and shifted the perspective on her actions.
I always wondered if I would have waited 10 days—and it was the Fantasy Suite—and [if] I didn’t talk about it would I be getting the same sort of response from people? Probably not…I worried about jeopardizing the relationships.
Bristowe has been a victim of social media “slut-shaming” leading up to this moment as show previews teased the sensual scene. She defended her integrity at the forefront of last night’s episode with this prefatory tweet:
Just remember, when you judge me, you do not define me, you define yourself. think about that before sending out negativity to any1 tonight

Bristowe responded with the reality show’s contraband “L word”,
Will Shawn leave? Will Bristowe propose to Amy Schumer? Find out on the next episode of the Bachelorette, Monday June 29 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
