Selena Gomez on Jennifer Aniston: ‘She Gives Me a Lot of Maternal Advice’
It’s no secret that Gomez loves Aniston, she often posts photos to Instagram of the pair together.
The duo was even spotted leaving a Golden Globes after-party together in Jan. 2015. Aniston even revealed earlier this year that Gomez is “just like a little cherub that I feel like I wanna take care of.”
While this may seem like a random friendship, 23-year-old Gomez and 46-year-old Aniston have a major connection. “We met through my management,” Gomez told radio station KTU 103.5. “They manage her as well, so it was kind of like a friendly meeting. Then instantly she just like invited me to her house, she has a pizza oven, we made pizzas at her house.”
Gomez continued to sing Aniston’s praises in the interview, mentioning that she’s “very sweet” and “very cool.” Plus, it also sounds like Aniston is offering Gomez some guidance. “She kind of gives me a lot of maternal advice.”

Though Gomez seems to have a special bond with Aniston, she did just reveal that she has trust issues when it comes to sharing things with people. In a new radio interview with Z100, Gomez opened up about those issues. She explained, “You can’t talk about anything that you want to share with people because it’s going to be ripped apart, and that’s what makes me really sad. I have a right to say what I’m going to say. If you’re going to sit here and talk about my life, I have a right to say what I want and obviously I’m going to do it the way I wish to. But it is unfortunate, and you have to be guarded.”
She went on to add, “I don’t trust anyone. It’s something that I have to live with and I have to find the balance of who I want in my life and who isn’t good for me.”
Gomez isn’t letting those issues get her down though, she has too much to be excited about right now. She just released her new single “Good For You.” The song is already No. 1 on iTunes, and the video is set to premiere very soon. To celebrate, Gomez went out with her friends in New York City last night. You deserve it, girl!
