Jill Duggar of ’19 Kids and Counting’ Announces Family Move Overseas

The Duggars Return to Twitter, Instagram
The Duggar family emerged from a social media hiatus to share snaps from a happy occasion.

Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard are packing their bags to make an impact in actual reality abroad.

The second oldest 19 Kids and Counting sister shared on her family’s blog that she, her husband, and baby Israel will be leaving Arkansas in July to serve their Baptist church in an international missionary trip.

Duggar elaborates that their service will be a long-term engagement, inspired by long-time desires to “care for all of the world”. Their big move comes earlier than expected, resultant of an opportunity to “serve God on the mission field” that arose months ago.

The reality star writes,

“A friend of ours wisely shared that if God was leading us to serve Him abroad, we should pursue it as early as possible, to avoid a more difficult move later, when our roots are deep and we’re more comfortable in life.”

The family’s jump off the grid comes at suspiciously coincidental time, following Duggar’s involvement in her brother’s molestation scandal as one of the five alleged victims. She defended Josh Duggar’s integrity in an interview on The Kelly File alongside of her sister Jessa Duggar Seewald last month.

Duggar shares that she has trepidations about their new adventure after quitting her job in the Tax department of Wal-Mart.

“God never promised that following Him wouldn’t have its challenges. We are confident in knowing that there is no better place to be than in the center of God’s will for our lives. We look forward to this adventure and the joy of serving Him in this new way.”

TLC recently pulled all episodes of 19 Kids and Counting from the air in their first public response to the resurfaced criminal records.

The family is accepting donations for their mission trip on their blog. Click here for more information on making a monetary contribution.
