Enrique Iglesias Arrested for Driving with a Suspended License

Enrique Iglesias is facing misdemeanor charges after being arrested in May.

According to NBC Miami, Iglesias was pulled over on Interstate 95 in Florida on May 6 after he was spotted driving in “closed express lanes.”

When the officer pulled Iglesias over, he jumped into the back of his Escalade and his passenger, Abel Tabuyo, jumped into the driver’s seat, according to the Florida Highway Patrol arrest affidavit. Both Iglesias and Tabuyo were then handcuffed.

Iglesias and Tabuyo were released after signing notices to appear in court and have both entered not guilty please. Igleasias is set to appear in court on July 10 where he’ll face charges of obstructing an officer without violence, driving with an expired license and knowingly driving with a suspended license.

This incident occurred just two weeks before Iglesias injured his hand at a concert in Mexico.
