UPDATE: FBI Raids Home of Subway Spokesman Jared Fogle

You’ll never look at the beloved Subway sandwich guy the same way again.

On Tuesday (July 7, 2016), the FBI and state police raided the Indiana home of Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle to search for child pornography.

According to police authorities, the raid began around 6:30 a.m. and comes after Russell Taylor, the executive director of Fogle’s Jared Foundation, was arrested on child pornography charges. Investigators reportedly found more than 500 videos in his home.

The 37-year-old was seen walking into his home with one of the agents, with investigators parked in his driveway. The FBI and other authorities were also seen taking electronics out of the home and back to a police trailer.

Fogle first rose to fame in 1999 after his Subway-inspired weight loss. He became the face of the chain, often seen on TV commercials holding out his former pants waistline to highlight his weight change.

Update — July. 7, 7:30 p.m. ET: A Subway spokesman revealed in a statement that the sandwich chain is parting ways with Fogle.

Subway and Jared Fogle have mutually agreed to suspend their relationship due to the current investigation. Jared continues to cooperate with authorities, and he expects no actions to be forthcoming. Both Jared and Subway agree that this was the appropriate step to take.
