WATCH: Here’s Your First Look at David Ayer’s ‘Suicide Squad’

The first trailer for David Ayer’s highly anticipated movie Suicide Squad has made its official online debut after first footage premiered at Comic-Con over the weekend, following an online leak.

WB’s marketing chief Sue Kroll said of the leak, “It’s unfortunate and ultimately damaging that one individual broke a long-standing trust we have enjoyed with our fans at the convention by posting early material, which, at this point, was not intended for a wider audience.”

But alas, now we get to see the teaser in high-quality video.

The trailer features a scary Jared Leto playing Joker, who proclaims at the end of the trailer, “I’m not going to kill you. I’m just going to hurt you really, really bad.”

Suicide Squad also stars Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Margot Robbie as Dr. Harleen F. Quinzel / Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Will Smith as Floyd Lawton / Deadshot, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Ike Barinholtz as Hugo Strange, Adam Beach as Christopher Weiss / Slipknot, Jay Hernandez as Chato Santana / El Diablo, Karen Fukuhara as Tatsu Yamashiro / Katana, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Waylon Jones / Killer Croc, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Scott Eastwood, Common, and more.

The plot entails supervillians being recruited by a secret government agency, offered clemency in exchange for their success in a dangerous mission. Needless to say, we’re excited for the August 5, 2016 release.
