‘Joy’ Trailer: Jennifer Lawrence’s Got a Gun

JLaw's Tattoo Fail
With Liam Hemsworth, of all people...

“My name’s Joy by the way.” And don’t you forget it.

Here’s your first look at Jennifer Lawrence in her latest David O. Russell flick, Joy, aka. JLaw’s next ticket to the Academy Awards.

Lawrence, 24, plays Joy, a character loosely based on Joy Mangano, the real-life Long Island single mom of three, inventor of the Miracle Mop, and President of Ingenious Designs, LLC.

From 20th Century Fox:

Joy is the wild story of a family across four generations centered on the girl who becomes the woman who founds a business dynasty and becomes a matriarch in her own right. Betrayal, treachery, the loss of innocence and the scars of love, pave the road in this intense emotional and human comedy about becoming a true boss of family and enterprise facing a world of unforgiving commerce.

Bradley Cooper, another Russell favorite, plays a Home Shopping Network exec who helps Joy out in the Miracle Mop department. Robert De Niro plays Joy’s father. So many Russell favorites here, folks!

Lawrence and company were spotted filming Joy in areas of Massachusetts, including Boston and Wilmington this past winter. This is the same movie that produced headlines about a feud between the actress and her director.

As you may recall, JLaw shut that down.

Hey guys! It’s Jen! I know I don’t go on here a lot because I can barely work email but there’s been a terrible rumor…
