Anne Hathaway Responds to Amy Schumer’s ‘Trainwreck’ Joke About Her

Anne Hathaway is such a good sport.

She may have been the punchline of a joke in Trainwreck, but that didn’t stop her from praising the film’s writer and star, Amy Schumer.

In the movie, Schumer teases her on-screen boyfriend Bill Hader after he wins an award, telling him that he doesn’t have to carry the thing everywhere like he’s Anne Hathaway on Oscar night.

On Monday (July 20, 2015), the Oscar winner posted a photo of her ticket stub, along with a note to Schumer, predicting an Oscar win for her work on the comedy:

Don’t pretend like when you win your Oscar — which you could for your brilliant and refreshing writing and/or acting in @TrainwreckMovie — you won’t tote it around to every Oscar party you go to. Way to slay, Annie.

The 32-year-old famously became very emotional after winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2013 for her performance in Les Misérables.

Hathaway’s response is either the classiest reply ever or her way of dealing with passive aggression like a professional.
