Some People Are Saying Cara Delevingne and St. Vincent Broke Up, But This Guitar Says Otherwise

Get to Know St. Vincent
Five things to know about Annie Clark.

2015 is the year love died — Example One, Example Two, Example Three — so it would not come as a huge surprise if the rumors that Cara Delevingne and St. Vincent have split were true. But have they really?

Page Six reports that model/actress/honorary Kardashian Delevingne and musician Annie Clark (alias: St. Vincent) recently broke up after after six months of dating. They don’t provide much further information — or, you know, any receipts whatsoever — other than to say Delevingne’s rep declined to comment and Clark’s was unaware of a split.

But! TWIST! At around the same time Page Six published its report, Clark posted the following to her official Instagram account

“An Airline Twin Tone guitar signed by David Bowie. Thank you, @caradelevingne. Best gift ever in the entire world. (Heart emoji…)”

HMMM! Let’s take a look at the clues:

  • “Heart emoji”? That does not sound like breakup language to the breakup language experts manning Celebuzz’s news desk.
  • The gift itself. Would Delevingne really give Clark a David Bowie-signed guitar for her birthday if they’d broken up? And would Clark share that information publicly?
  • Also consider: Delevingne recently professed her love for Clark in a Vogue interview. The pair were also spotted together just two weeks ago in Amsterdam.

So what is the truth? (GIF break!)

What-Is-The-Truth-Gif

The truth appears to be that the breakup story is a complete fabrication; for whatever it’s worth, this is not the first time outlets have wrongly reported on the pair splitting. For the moment, we feel safe in our recommendation that you mend your love-savaged heart with this good news: Cara Delevingne and St. Vincent are very likely still together.
