Charlize Theron Once Invited President Obama to a Strip Club

Charlize Theron recounted her first meeting with Barack Obama on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday.

Theron explained how nervous she was to meet Obama backstage during a Kimmel taping this past March. She remembered Obama saying how excited he was to reach a different demographic by appearing on Kimmel’s show, which prompted Theron to say:

“Well if you’re looking for a different demographic, I could take you to a strip club.”

Theron then exclaimed to Kimmel, “It’s terrible, terrible, terrible!”

While Theron said Obama didn’t take her up on her offer, she said, “Michelle Obama’s going to kill me.”

It was all about the nerves Theron said, “I have this thing that happens when I get nervous that I get so nervous, that I’ll say something really inappropriate. It’s like Tourette’s [syndrome] in a weird way, that I’ll say something and I don’t know how to stop it. It’s like verbal diarrhea.”

“He was so gracious and funny. And he could tell that I was really nervous, and he was nothing but lovely.”

Theron says she couldn’t sleep for a month after the encounter because “every time I closed my eyes I went, ‘Oh my God, I said that.'”
