Miranda Lambert Hits the Stage for the First Time Since Blake Shelton Divorce
Miranda Lambert isn’t letting her divorce from Blake Shelton get her down. She made a surprise appearance at friend Ashley Monroe’s album release party last night held at a local Nashville venue, The Basement. Meanwhile, Shelton is back in LA filming The Voice, and was spotted for the first time in public yesterday in West Hollywood (sans wedding ring).
Lambert helped celebrate Monroe on the release of her new record, The Blade, making her first public appearance since her split from Shelton made headlines. Despite the sad news, she seemed to be in good spirits. Over the past weekend, before news had broke, Lambert broke down on stage while singing at a festival in Wyoming.
The ladies are in a group called the Pistol Annies together, along with Angaleena Presley, so it’s no wonder that she’s leaning on her closest friends right now. They performed “Heart Like Mine,” Lambert’s 2011 song which they co-wrote.
Her next concert is scheduled in Nashville on Tuesday. Tickets for the one night only event sold out an hour after the show was announced on her Twitter account on Monday. However, she hasn’t tweeted anything since news of the divorce broke.

Rumor has it that The Voice, for which Shelton has been coach since its inception in 2011, was a huge strain on their relationship and one of the reasons why they divorced. According to TMZ, Lambert says it wasn’t only Shelton’s cheating that led to their marriage falling apart; it was the fact that she felt abandoned by him. He had to spend between seven to eight months film in LA, which is a place she “hates.”
Nevertheless, sources say “she would fly to LA to see him – sometimes just for a day,” while “he rarely reciprocated by coming to Oklahoma or wherever she was working.” According to sources, she finally said “This is no way to live.”
As for the cheating part, both sides are still saying the other cheated. Country singer Chris Young, who Shelton reportedly believed was one of the guys who Lambert cheated with, has since come forward to deny having an affair with the country music queen. He wrote on Twitter,

Meanwhile, Shelton has not addressed the divorce on social media, keeping everything per usual. Both he and Lambert have both deleted their Twitter photos of one another.
