Bobbi Kristina Brown to Be Buried with Whitney Houston, Longtime Boyfriend Learned of Her Death from the Internet
Bobbi Kristina passed away on Sunday, July 26 at the age of 22, nearly six months after she was found unconscious in her bathtub. Though it was alleged that she was under the influence of drugs on the morning of the inciting incident, the exact cause of her unresponsive state and death still remain unclear.
On Monday July, 27, a representative from the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to the Associated Press that an autopsy will be performed in an attempt to tie up loose ends.
“Interpretation of autopsy findings and other information will also be challenging,” the statement read. “However, an autopsy could be helpful to address questions which may arise about the cause of her unresponsiveness and eventual death.”
A source close to the family now tells Entertainment Tonight that Bobbi Kristina’s body will be flown to New Jersey to be buried alongside of her mother after funeral services in Georgia have concluded. Houston’s only child was only 18 years old when she passed away due to a cocaine overdose. According to reports, Bobbi Kristina was sedated and hospitalized after suffering a hysterical breakdown in response to her mother’s death.
Houston’s Facebook page paid tribute to the R&B legend’s daughter an hour after the news of her passing had broke.
UsWeekly reports that Bobbi Kristina’s longtime boyfriend Nick Gordon was informed of her death “just like everyone else did, from the Internet” while in Florida with his mother. Bobby Brown banned Gordon from hospital visits and will be denied entrance to funeral services. A source tells People that he is “very upset”.
“You can say what you want about him and Bobbi Kristina, but he really did love her very much, and is devastated that she is gone.”
Gordon was served with a hefty lawsuit earlier in July from Brown’s conservators that accuses him of domestic abuse and withdrawing funds from her account. However, he was instructed by his lawyers not to open the paperwork because they were served on a Sunday, which is illegal in Florida.
