WATCH: Lady Gaga Joins U2 on Stage for a Killer Rendition of “Ordinary Love”
Taylor Swift currently has the market cornered on the whole “I’m going to bring my famous friends out onto this stage” thing, but U2 is not a band to be outdone in this or any other area. Cue Lady Gaga…
Last night (July 26, 2015), Gaga joined U2 on stage at Madison Square Garden and performed “Ordinary Love,” the band’s contribution to 2013’s Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.
U2 is in the middle of an eight-night residency at the famed New York concert and sports venue. During previous shows, Bono and Co. have brought out Sir Paul McCartney, Nile Rodgers, Alicia Keys, and others for a little sing-song, but none have garnered quite as much attention as Mother Monster. Watch their performance of “Ordinary Love” below, and you’ll see why.
You might notice that Gaga is wearing the Alexander McQueen “armadillo” heels that she helped make iconic in her “Bad Romance” video. Late last week, Gaga spent an alleged $295,000 on three pairs of the jaw-dropping shoes at auction. She shared several photos of her purchases to her Instagram account over the weekend.

After the show, Gaga and the boys exchanged pleasantries on Twitter, as is protocol these days:
U2 will play three more nights at MSG before taking a short break from their tour. Meanwhile, Gaga is wrapping up her Cheek to Cheek tour with Tony Bennett and will then begin shooting for American Horror Story: Hotel.
