WATCH: The Most Awkward Cara Delevingne Interview You’ll See All Day
It all began when the model-turned-actress went on Good Morning Sacramento via satellite to promote her new movie, Paper Towns. While the Q&A seemed okay at first as Delevingne answered the three co-hosts’ questions about her busy schedule, everything crashed and burned when one newscaster decided to be a bit condescending and call out the 22-year-old for allegedly appearing less-than-enthused about her film.
Reacting professionally, Delevingne explained, “I mean, I’m still very excited. The premiere was last night and it felt like the end of an era, but I’m not any less excited than I was a couple of weeks ago.”
Perhaps feeling like they weren’t being passive aggressive enough, the another anchor told Delevingne, “You seem a bit irritated, perhaps it’s just us?”
When Delevingne, playing along, sarcastically agreed that they were irritating her, the news team told the British starlet, “We’ll let you go then, how about that? We’ll let you go and take a nap and maybe have a Red Bull.”
If that wasn’t cringe-worthy enough, the morning show hosts then start to talk smack about Delevingne once her camera is turned off. (Which, as we’ve learned from Paris Hilton, is just a bad idea after doing an interview.)
“Well, she was in a mood,” one host said, before pouting like a child, “But STILL!”
“You make five million dollars for six weeks worth of work,” another anchor said about Delevingne, who actually only made $3.5 million last year. “You can pretend to talk to Good Day Sacramento with some umph!”
Umph? We’re surprised she even stuck around instead of going “Bye Felicia” on your ass.
