Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Wake Attended Separately by Houston, Brown Families
Bobbi Kristina Brown’s wake was held at the Murray Brothers Funeral Home in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday evening.
The divided Houston and Brown families gathered to pay separate respects to the dearly beloved 22-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston.
E! News reported that Bobbi’s grandmother and aunt Cissy Houston and Pat Houston arrived first at 6 p.m., leading the Houston’s shift of visitation. Bobby Brown and wife Alicia Etheredge waited outside in their cars with other members of the Brown family until the Houston’s departed from the funeral home.
Both the Houstons and the Browns made entrances through a back door, Bobby’s family hiding behind a security umbrella.
An invitation-only funeral service for Bobbi Kristina will be held on Saturday morning at the Saint James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia.
TMZ stated that Bobbi Kristina’s longtime partner Nick Gordon sent an email plea to her father and aunt requesting admittance to the service to pay his final respects. He wrote, “I loved Krissi with all my heart and I am destroyed that she is gone and I need to say goodbye.”
“Krissi loved me very much and she would want me there.”
Bobbi Kristina will be laid to rest in Newark, New Jersey alongside of her mother on Monday after the Atlanta funeral services have concluded.
