The 18-year-old just released her very first single called “Love Myself” – a song entirely dedicated to empowerment and self-love.

In the uplifting pop-dance track, Steinfeld belts out, “Gonna love myself, no, I don’t need anybody else.” Some of the lyrics even get a little spicy: “When I get chills at night / I feel it deep inside without you, yeah,” and “I’m gonna put my body first / And love me so hard ’til it hurts.”

The actress-turned-singer says she’s always felt connected to music and knew it would be part of her future career.

“Honestly, music has always been such a huge part of my life and always a part of my plan,” Steinfeld said on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show. “I made Pitch Perfect 2 last year and after that, I kind of just fell into making this. It all happened very organically and it’s been amazing! I’ve made time, and I’ve fallen in love with the whole process.”
