Jennifer Aniston Didn’t Invite Matt LeBlanc or Matthew Perry to Her Wedding
“I’ll be there for you…” that is, until life goes on.
Joey and Chandler weren’t invited to Rachel’s wedding, to the surprise of Friends fans everywhere.
But this isn’t 2004 and a television show.
Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry did not get their golden tickets, but no hard feelings. Perry told Entertainment Tonight he was “surprised” by the wedding. “I didn’t know about it,” he said, adding he was “very happy for them.”
Meanwhile, LeBlanc said, “I wasn’t there, so I wish her the best,” adding that the wedding “was small” and that’s most likely the reason why he wasn’t invited.
Aniston and Theroux invited only a handful of guests who thought they were attending Theroux’s 44th birthday party at their Bel Air mansion (according to People, only 70-plus friends and family members were invited, which is relatively small compared to other Hollywood nuptials).
“Everybody is okay,” LeBlanc assured. “The girls were there. You’ve got to have the girls there.”
On Monday, he told People while at a TCA event in LA, “I think they’re a great couple. I think she’s happy. And that’s all I care about is that Jen’s happy. If she wanted me there, I would have been there.”
Unfortunately for LeBlanc, he also missed her wedding to Brad Pitt:
I missed when she married Brad. I was in Austria working. She called me, and she was like, ‘You’re really not coming to my wedding?’ And I was like, ‘I asked them if they could change the schedule. I would fly and clap and fly out.’ And they said, ‘We can’t do it. It’s too tight.’ It was a small-budget movie in Austria you’ve never heard of. Probably should have left anyway, but s— happens. What are you going to do?
Other guests included Howard Stern (who recapped the wedding), Jimmy Kimmel (who officiated the wedding), Jason Bateman, Orlando Bloom, Chelsea Handler, Tobey Maguire, Sia Furler, Samantha Ronson, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, and more.
The newlyweds are currently celebrating their honeymoon in Bora Bora.
