Lamar Odom isn’t ready to give up on his marriage to Khloé Kardashian just yet.

Despite reports that the couple is moving forward with their divorce proceedings two years after its initial filing, the former NBA player insists that Kardashian is still his “wife” and that she loves him. While the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is said to be “emotionally shaken” and “freaked out” by their recent encounter, where Odom allegedly ambushed his ex outside of a SoulCycle in Los Angeles, the 35-year-old claims it’s all a misunderstanding.

“We spoke [beforehand],” he tells InTouch. “A misunderstanding between me and my wife became public. It’s hurtful. That woman is my wife. Without the ring on my finger. [Even] with her picture being taken with another man, that woman is my wife.”

“She’s [my] soul mate,” Lamar continues. “I can’t control it. We’ll never part. I would never consider myself serious with another woman. To sum it up, if a man is attempting to court Khloé, he’s probably wasting his time.”

Currently, Kardashian, 31, is rumored to be dating Houston Rockets player James Harden.

According to reports, Odom and Kardashian’s recent confrontation was about the latter seeing other men. An eyewitness at the scene said at the time that Kardashian “was visibly freaked out” and told her soon-to-be ex-husband to “get off of me, get off of me” when he tried to grab her arm.

Odom tells the magazine that they were in touch beforehand, adding, “The weirdest part about it is because I really know how she feels about me.”
