‘Fifty Shades Darker’ May Have Found Its New Director

Is Henry Cavill Going 'Fifty Shades Darker'?
Fifty Shades Darker's cast might be heating up with the addition of Superman.

Director James Foley is the clear front-runner to direct the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel, Fifty Shades Darker

There’s no offer yet, but sources say producers will start the process early next week. There is also speculation that Foley will likely direct both Fifty Shades films.

Foley has not only directed 12 episodes of Netflix’s hit series House of Cards, but his film credits include Fear starring Mark Wahlberg, Perfect Stranger with Halle Berry and Bruce Willis, and more.

His addition to the popular film franchise comes after Sam Taylor-Johnson refused to return after having a horrible experience on set with author E.L. James.

Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan will be reprising their roles as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, and there are rumors that Alexis Bledel might be set to play Leila Williams (Christian’s past partner). Interesting…

Fifty Shades Darker will hit theaters on Feb. 10, 2017, and the third film in the series, Fifty Shades Freed, will debut Feb. 9, 2018.
