Gene Simmons’ Family Home Searched by LAPD
While Gene Simmons is not being considered a suspect (nor is his family), the 65-year-old rocker’s home was searched Thursday night by the LAPD’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force as authorities close in on the target of an investigation.
A police statement clarifies, “No one in the the Simmons family is a suspect in this investigation.”
Additionally, a representative for the family asserts that the crime in question could have taken place on the family property while Gene was touring with his band KISS last year.

Thanks for your support. We couldn’t be more horrified that someone used our residence for such heinous crimes. Law enforcement is on it.

The rep goes on to say in the statement given to NBC, “At this time, the police have requested that Mr. Simmons and his family not discuss the investigation publicly so as not to compromise it.”
Both Gene and his wife, Shannon Tweed, have taken to Twitter to update their fans on the situation.
