UPDATE 2:40 PM PT: Snooki has responded to the allegations made against her husband, writing on Instagram:

This morning when I got a call from my publicist that a story was going to be printed on my husband “allegedly” signing up on Ashley Madison, I laughed- and said lets not even comment and give the story any juice, because it couldn’t be any further from the truth. But now seeing how it’s the “news of the day” and everyone is wondering what I think about it- here it is. Jionni is the the most humble, respectful, and most loyal souls I know. I mean hello, that’s why I married him. He’s a stand up guy who loves his family more than anything in this world.

Say it ain’t so!

Word has it that Snooki’s husband, Jionni LaValle, has been linked to an Ashley Madison account after the website, which was designed to connect those in marriages or committed relationship with others seeking to start an affair, suffered a breach in its user’s private information. According to Us Weekly, LaValle’s email address matches one that was used to open an account with the dating service.

This claim follows rumors that LaValle, 28, had cheated on Snooki, 28, when they were engaged. In January, Snooki slammed those reports, calling out InTouch for publishing such a “BS story.”

Though the Jersey Shore star or LaValle have yet to confirm or deny the recent allegations, they aren’t the only couple to have their marriage rocked by the Ashley Madison hacking. Following the data leak, TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting star Josh Duggar admitted to cheating on his wife after his personal information was linked to two separate Ashley Madison accounts. Similarly, Real Housewives of New York City star Kristen Taekman’s husband, Josh, also confessed to registering to the extramarital website after his information was discovered during the hack.

Ironically, Snooki commented on the Duggars’ involvement with Ashley Madison on her Naturally Nicole podcast on Tuesday (Aug. 25, 2015), chastising Anna Duggar for defending her husband even after he admitted to cheating. “His wife is still standing by him!” Snooki said. “It’s like, ‘What the fuck is wrong with you? Like, what are you doing?’ Yep, screw it.”
According to the Toronto Police Department, an investigation has been launched after 37 million subscribers to the Canada-based website had their personal details stolen by hackers. Authorities claim that there are also two possible suicides that may be potentially connected to the data breach.
