Paula Deen Joins Nick Carter, Bindi Irwin on Season 21 of ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Hot butter and oil, y’all. Paula Deen is joining season 21 of Dancing With the Stars.

E! News reports that the Southern celebrity chef will attempt to dance her way back into America’s hearts after losing her Food Network show and multiple franchises in 2013 when she admitted to using the N-word, telling racist jokes, and tweeting a photo of her son Bobby in brown face. Deen was previously requested to join the cast in 2010 for season 17, but declined, telling Extra that, “Fat girls don’t look good sweating.”

The queen of fried chicken will compete against Bindi Irwin, Nick Carter, Victor Espinoza, among other celebrities as they are announced. Funk singer Chaka Khan hangs in ballroom purgatory as a rumored addition to the cast, but has yet to be confirmed by ABC.
