Uzo Aduba’s Experience Performing with Taylor Swift Described in 9 Rebecca Black GIFs
One does not simply get down on Friday.
On Saturday, Aug. 22 Uzo Aduba was inducted into the Taylor Swift Hall of Fame when she performed a most unexpected duet of “White Horse” with Swift at the Staples Center. The Orange is the New Black star opened up about her 1989 World Tour experience in a brief interview with Vulture, which is best illustrated in a series of GIFs featuring Friday spokeswoman, Ms. Rebecca Black.
Aduba told Vulture, “I woke up one morning and I just had a message from her. She’s like, ‘Do you want to come sing? Want to sing together? Let’s do something.'”
“And I was like, ‘All right, cool. Let’s do it!‘”
“She’s good people, and just generous to share her stage and her space. She’s awesome.”
“I was initially very nervous,” Aduba confessed.
“But then I calmed down.”
“Because as soon as I came up on that elevator, all I felt was love.”
“Like, if love were a tangible thing, I think I could have touched it that night,” Aduba described to Vulture.
“Her audience is phenomenal. They are a force to be reckoned with. They know every word.”
She says, in sum,
“It was amazing.”
