Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter’s Baby Name Is Revealed

We finally know what Cumberbaby’s name is.

Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter have named their new baby Christopher Carlton Cumberbatch (now 3-months-old), People reports.

How alliterative and handsome of a name, and in essence, perfect for the child of one of the most dapper men in Hollywood.

In fact, Carlton is a family middle moniker that has been passed down; Benedict himself shares the name (his full name being Benedict Timothy Carlton Cumberbatch).

The Sherlock actor and Hunter welcomed their first child back in June, and tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony on the Isle of Wight in England on Valentine’s Day.

It’s been a whirlwind year for the actor and Hunter, who is a theater and opera director. The couple first announced they were engaged back in January. Cumberbatch is currently starring in Hamlet at London’s famed Barbican Theatre. Earlier this year, Cumberbatch was up for Best Actor for his role as Alan Turing in The Imitation Game at the 72nd Golden Globe Awards, amongst several other accolades. His next film Black Mass premieres later this month on Sept. 18.

Cumberbatch is a busy man. He has several movies in the pipeline for this upcoming year and next (in addition to season four of Sherlock, which won’t premiere until 2017): war drama The Yellow Birds (2016); biographical drama co-starring Amanda Seyfried, Ralph Fiennes, and writer-director of the film Gary Oldman, Flying Horse (2016); the highly-anticipated Doctor Strange (Nov. 4, 2016); voice in the animated fantasy film Magik; and the also highly-anticipated live-action adaption of Jungle Book: Origins (October 6, 2017), co-starring Cate Blanchett, Christian Bale, and more.
