Lauren Conrad Admits She’s ‘Pretty Basic’

Heidi Montag Forgives a Fake Lauren Conrad for 'Trying to Ruin My Life’
Someone just took “I want to forgive you, and I want to forget you" to a whole new level.

Allure was right: Lauren Conrad is a basic b*tch.

While she may not be wandering around in Uggs boots and taking Instagram photos of her Pumpkin Spice Latte, the reality star-turned-fashion designer does admit she shares some traits with the stereotype of an “extra regular” person. Covering Cosmopolitan’s October 2015 issue, the The Hills alum confess that she’s kind of basic — and she’s perfectly alright with that.

“I probably am pretty basic. But I’m also a pretty happy person, so that’s okay with me,” she tells the publication.

The 29-year-old, who was called out by Allure magazine for being basic in 2014, explains that being on TV helped toughen her skin and be immune to criticism.

“Television was just sort of an accident … I never felt really strongly about it,” she says. “When I did television, scandal was always around me. And I think one of the best things [about that] for me is that your life becomes more big-picture. You have to develop a thick skin really quickly. It toughened me up, which is good.”

As for making nice Heidi Montag? Conrad is totally over her former BFF’s claims that she tried “to ruin [her] life.”

“I’m not really involved in that anymore. I don’t think it has anything to do with me,” Conrad says. “You just have to focus on the good people in your life. Focusing on what you lose is only going to make you sad.”
