18 Times Stephen Colbert Was the Best
What makes him such an American treasure?

Talk show host, Stephen Colbert kicked off his first episode on the Late Show Tuesday night with “The Star Spangled Banner,” before he gave props to former host, David Letterman.

Colbert’s interviews for the night were actor/director, George Clooney, presidential candidate, Jeb Bush.

Also, during the opening song, Colbert’s The Daily Show buddy, Jon Stewart, made a quick cameo. There were plenty of Donald Trump jokes.

The episode wrapped up with an extended performance of “Everyday People” by Sly & the Family Stone, including a slew of celebrity guests and eventually turned into an audience-wide dance party.

All in all, a good night for a first day of work.
