Liam Payne Gives Us His Best Blue Steel on Cover of ‘Attitude’ Magazine

Talk about a smoldering gaze and a good PR move.

Liam Payne is sexing up his image as Attitude magazine’s newest cover boy, in not one but two beautiful collectible covers.

The One Direction heartthrob announced that he’d be appearing on the British gay lifestyle magazine yesterday on Twitter.

Not only is he posing solo for the first time, but his appearance comes just weeks after denying (again) that he’s homophobic. Back in Jan. 2014, Payne praised the “family values” of Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson, whose father Phil had briefly been fired from the show after making anti-gay remarks weeks earlier.

And last month, Payne denied allegations of homophobia in a series of tweets, writing “I am in no way shape or form homophobic that’s a ridicules thing to say and I’m not here to offend people so take it as you will.”

Pretty great PR move for Payne, whose comments were just misconstrued, and probably just more a product of foot-in-mouth syndrome rather than intending to be harmful.

We can’t wait to see more blue steel-esque photos from his shoot, and his accompanying article. The October issue of Attitude hits newsstands Sept. 18.
