Bobby Brown Gives Heartbreaking First Interview Since Losing Bobbi Kristina

Bobby Brown continues to mourn Bobbi Kristina

The grief-stricken singer opened about about the heartbreak he felt saying goodbye to his daughter. In his first interview since the 22-year-old’s tragic death, Brown reflects on how things might have happened differently.

Joining The Real for their season two premiere that airs Monday (Sept. 14, 2015), Brown said, “If I could’ve been there two days before, it wouldn’t have went down like that.”

Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in her condo on Jan. 31, and died surrounded by her loved ones in a hospice July 26. An investigation surrounding cause of death is still ongoing and Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend Nick Gordon is at the centre of it.

We prayed and hoped for six months for something better to happen. But when God calls you, he calls you. I’m pretty sure her mother [Whitney Houston] was…had a part with like, ‘Come on, let’s get her up here’ in the best way possible. She was not comfortable by herself I guess and she just called my daughter with her.

Brown was joined by his wife, Alicia Etheredge Brown, with whom he just welcomed a baby girl. When asked what his fondest memory of his late daughter is, he answered, “Her smile.” Watch a clip from Bobby Brown’s emotional upcoming interview below.
