WATCH: Rose McGowan Is Our New Topless Avant Garde Pop Queen in ‘RM486′ Music Video

Rose vs. Sexism
McGowan wages a war against sexism in Hollywood.

Now that Lady Gaga has gone all normal on us, who will take up the mantle of The Most Bizarre Woman in Pop? Did you guess Rose McGowan? You maybe should have.

Today (Sept. 21, 2015), McGowan shared “RM486,” her first-ever music video. It was directed by Jonas Åkerlund, who helmed Gaga’s “Paparazzi” and “Telephone” as well as Beyoncé‘s “Haunted” and a number of other major videos. It bears his trademark playful, colorful weirdness. It also features McGown, in white body paint, totally topless (and in a number of dazzlingly strange, eye-grabbing ensembles).

When asked why she chose now to release her first music video, McGown answered:

In the last few years I’ve actually released some songs under different names, just me pranking the public. I woke up one day and realised I hated acting and that I’d always hated it. Imagine, its predominantly men whose scripts get done so it was mostly a male voice coming out of my mouth for fifteen years.

The whole video, which you can watch above, is certainly worth a view — though it does feature nudity, so maybe wait until your boss heads home.
